Assange, known for publishing classified documents on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, spent five years in a British prison fighting extradition. The agreement reportedly allows him to return to Australia without facing US custody, crediting his UK incarceration. Details will be finalized in a Northern Mariana Islands court, closer to Australia than mainland US courts.
