Langkawi Restaurant Now CHARGING RM20 for TINY Portion of “Ayam Kunyit”

1 min read

The discussion on the overcharging of restaurants in our local destinations has been a popular one. Apparently, a Langkawi restaurant is charging RM20 for a tiny portion of “ayam kunyit.” The price of white rice and plain water added to the total to RM24. Ayam Kunyit in KL would typically cost around RM8, which would already include white rice.

Apparently, many are vehemently upset at the fact that a simple dish is warranting such a high price. Furthermore, users are saying that this is the exact reason why many Malaysian tourists are flocking away to Thailand.

Another user states that the holiday destination has always been expensive. The user claims to have studied there some time ago, and said that a simple meal with plain water would set them back as much as RM9.
