KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 — Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has confirmed that a large hole has formed at Jalan Pantai Permai in Kampung Kerinchi due to a collapsed drain. The incident, which was reported on August 26, 2024, has led to a significant void exposing the area beneath the pavement.

DBKL announced that initial safety measures, including the installation of safety ropes, water barriers, and cones, were promptly implemented at the site at 10 p.m. The collapse has affected both the sidewalk and a portion of the roadway, leaving debris scattered around the sinkhole.
