PETALING JAYA, Aug 19, 2026 – Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung has suggested that the constituency could lose its elected representative, citing PKR’s failure to take disciplinary action against him.
Lee, among several PKR MPs barred from accessing the MyKhas portal, attended the May 17 launch of Parti Bersama Malaysia, led by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. Speaking at a Bersama event, Lee said he had responded to PKR’s disciplinary board but no action was taken. “If we are no longer on the same page, then let us part ways amicably. Because of their failure, Petaling Jaya may lose its MP,” he warned.

Lee argued that responsibility would lie with the party, not those who resign. His comments follow the resignation of Wong Chen as Subang MP, who also lost access to MyKhas before joining Bersama.
Defending his attendance at Bersama’s event, Lee said PKR members often attend programmes by other parties. He also backed DAP’s call for equal constituency allocations, stressing fairness regardless of political affiliation.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has clarified that barring MPs from MyKhas does not mean their constituents will lose approved development projects.
