GEORGE TOWN, Aug 18, 2026 – DAPmCentral Executive Committee member Chow Kon Yeow has urged Parti Bersama Malaysia president Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli to respect the decision made by DAP delegates to remain in the Unity Government. the brickbat started after Rafizi commented on DAP’s decision, saying they tasted power and it is not easy to relinquish posts.

Nevertheless Chow said respecting the congress outcome was a basic principle all parties should acknowledge. His remarks however caught the attention of former Minsiter Nik Nazmi, who told the DAP to remember the D in their name, that is Democratic.
“DAP please don’t comment on MCA, UMNO or PAS then. Maybe should remember the D in your name,” Nik Nazmi said. Perhaps DAP should allow more freedom of speech? 🙂
