L’Oréal-UNESCO Young Talent Award: Dr Felicia Chung

Uncovering and understanding DNA cell modification which leads to cancerous cells, with the desire to predict DNA mutations and prevent cancer is what Dr Felicia Chung’s work in cancer research is about. And it starts with one fundamental question, “How does a cell become cancerous?”

Her research with a combination of other scientist uncovers how modifications to the DNA changes these instructions. DNA mutations, which are akin to changes in the instructions of the manual, can lead to the formation of cancer.
