A rather controversial topic on X, but a light hearted one on Reddit is where the Mandarin language is discussed. Apparently, a Redditor claims that with new C-Dramas, many Malay Malaysians are picking up Mandarin subtly.
More Malays are Understanding Mandarin
The Redditor then adds that with consistency, one may understand the language even further. Apps like Duolingo can actually help with that. Additionally, consistently is key, especially with a new language being learnt.
Another Redditor says that it would be better to reveal that you’d know the language only after something embarrassing has been said in the particular language. But, many appear to agree that learning an additional language has more positives for your life as a whole new world is unlocked for you.
