Malaysia Airlines cancels flights to Doha, Jeddah and Madinah as Middle East airspace closes

Malaysia Airlines announced the cancellation of flights between Kuala Lumpur and Middle Eastern cities including Doha, Jeddah and Madinah on Feb 28 and March 1, 2026, following the closure of certain Middle East airspace due to escalating security developments. 

Malaysia Airlines suspends Middle East services amid regional airspace closures

The affected services include long-haul flights MH160, MH156 and MH158 from Kuala Lumpur, with return legs and subsequent services also impacted, as the airline prioritised passenger safety amid evolving conditions. 

Travel assistance and alternative arrangements are being provided to passengers, and other Malaysia Airlines long-haul flights — such as London and Paris services — continue to operate as scheduled on unaffected routes.
