Malaysia Airlines Named Best Airline Staff in Asia as Cabin Crew Reach Global Top Three

Malaysia Airlines has received major recognition at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, being named Best Airline Staff in Asia while its cabin crew secured third place globally in the World’s Best Airline Cabin Crew category.

The cabin crew ranking represents a five-place improvement from eighth position in 2025, according to the airline.

The national carrier also moved up six places to 21st in the World’s Best Airline category. Other improvements included second place in World’s Best Airport Services, 18th in World’s Best Business Class Airlines and 12th in World’s Best Economy Class Airlines. Malaysia Airlines also climbed to 11th among the world’s cleanest airlines and retained a Top 10 position in Asia. 

Malaysia Aviation Group said the results reflect continued investment in its people, products, fleet and network. The airline has received 29 new aircraft to date and plans to build a fleet of 117 modern aircraft by 2035.

Its year-to-date on-time performance was also reported at 91.38%, as the group continues implementing its long-term business plan.
