Malaysian and Singapore police have dismantled a prostitution syndicate that used Malaysia as its base to market sex workers to clients in Singapore.
One Malaysian and 29 foreign nationals were arrested in the joint operation, called Op Noda – Rentas Sempadan, carried out by Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department and the Singapore Police Force. The arrests were made in Kuala Lumpur and Johor.

Police said the syndicate had operated in Singapore since 2024. It moved its telecommunications hub and web hosting management to residential hideouts in Malaysia to avoid detection by Singapore authorities.
Those arrested face action over exploiting individuals for prostitution and immigration offences. Authorities have also begun proceedings to extradite key figures in the syndicate to Singapore.
Bukit Aman CID director Datuk M. Kumar said the operation showed the effectiveness of intelligence sharing between the Royal Malaysia Police and the Singapore Police Force in curbing cross-border prostitution syndicates.
