The topic of minimum wage is rather a popular subject in Malaysia. There are those for and those oppose the increment of it. However, it is up to the government in solving this issue. On one hand, inflation will further increase if the wages are increased, but many are living inadequate lives due to a low salary.

X users feel that this situation will merely be an endless loop for us. If the wages are increased, the cost of goods will increase. If costs are increasing, the prices of these goods will increase. However, one way to stop this is to have strict regulations set by the government.
Others claim that larger companies in Malaysia are “greedy,” as they have posted record breaking profits. Ironically, at the same time, they are unable to pay their employees a decent wage. Regardless, these are the two different ends of the same argument.
