KENINGAU – A man died after a tyre he was inflating exploded at his workplace on Jalan Durok, Keningau, on Thursday. The incident occurred around 4 p.m., leaving the victim unconscious with head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Keningau District Police Chief, Superintendent Yampil Anak Garai, said a colleague reported the incident, stating the victim was inflating a tyre for a 10-tonne lorry when it burst, striking his face. CCTV footage confirmed the witness’s account. The police are investigating the case to determine the cause of the tragic accident.
