Kuala Lumpur: Opposition parties issue a joint statement to urge PM TS Muhyiddin Yassin and his Cabinet to resign.

They say they are also protesting the postponement of the special session of Parliament.

The statement is issued by representatives of PKR, DAP, Amanah, UPKO, MUDA, and PSB.

Independent MP Maszlee Malik also joined the opposition in signing the statement.

The government says it has a majority in Parliament. The opposition wants the government parties to prove they really have such a majority with a vote of no-confidence.

The Parliament is postponed indefinitely with the government saying it is to prevent COVID-19 outbreaks.
