The High Court in Kuala Lumpur heard claims that Datuk Seri Najib Razak acted as a shadow director of SRC International Sdn Bhd, personally issuing cheques totaling RM19.5 million to Umno and Selangor Umno. Lawyer Razlan Hadri Zulkifli, representing SRC and subsidiaries, stated Najib misused blank cheques issued by Jendela Pinggiran, diverting funds sourced from KWAP loans meant for SRC’s operations.

The lawsuit, filed in 2021, seeks to recover RM16 million from Umno and RM3.5 million from Selangor Umno. Allegations link Najib’s dual roles as SRC advisor and Umno president to the funds’ mismanagement.
