Police later detained a 23‑year‑old Malaysian woman and a 22‑year‑old Myanmar man following CCTV reviews. The woman was arrested at Kompleks Bukit Jambul, while further investigations led to the man’s arrest. Both are being probed under laws covering child abandonment. Earlier this year, Malaysia recorded 18 cases of baby abandonment in just three months.
