Non-Muslim Woman Now FINED For Wearing Shorts In KELANTAN

In Kelantan, a non-Muslim woman who was seen wearing shorts in a public place was fined. The 35-year-old lady, who also owns a clothing store, received the fine following an unauthorized examination at her store on Jalan Merbau in Kota Bharu by the Kota Bharu Municipal Council (MPKB). The Small Trade, Business, and Industrial MPKB Act of 1985 provided the legal foundation for this move, according to MPKB President Rosnazli Amin.

Twitter users are stating that the people of Kelantan need to fully brace this as a consequence as at the end of the day, they are the ones who voted for the party leading the state. The change can only happen if residents vote for a different party that will actually help the state develop.

In addition to this, Malaysians are stating that rules like this should only be applied to those practicing Islam. However, there are some netizens who state that this rule should indeed be applied to everyone, regardless of their religion and race which include non-muslims.
