Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has left his post as coach by mutual consent with the Premier League club. The 52-year-old Argentinian had only been in the job for 11 months and guided Chelsea to a sixth-placed finish in the Premier League in what is now termed a disastrous season. Pochettino out
While Pochettino left Chelsea and no one knows where he is heading next, it is darker skies for Marcus Rashford as he is left out of the English squad this time. Gareth Southgate named his England provisional squad for Euro 2024 and Rashford and Jordan Henderson were key omissions. Luke Shaw was selected despite being a “long shot” for the tournament and Southgate explains, “Other players in that area of the pitch had better seasons [than Rashford].”
