Former Penang deputy chief minister P. Ramasamy has cautioned that rising discontent among non-Malay voters could deal a blow to Pakatan Harapan (PH), even without direct support for Perikatan Nasional (PN). He warned that frustration may lead to lower turnout, protest votes, or a shift toward alternative opposition figures. Responding to political analyst Wong Chin Huat’s claim that PAS cannot win over non-Malays, Ramasamy said such views overlook the diverse sentiments among Chinese, Indian, and minority voters. He noted some Indian voters are already drifting away from PH—not out of support for PN, but due to dissatisfaction with PH’s performance.
