Netizens Mad at RM1 ATM Withdrawal Fees as Banks Earning MILLIONS from it

The opinion of continuously charging consumers RM1 for a withdrawal fee from an ATM that does not belong to the customer’s bank is seen as absurd by netizens. They state that it is their money that’s being deducted, and corporations like the banks are making profit from it.

A Facebook user states that these banks have billions in their hands with the savings of every customer. However, at the same time, the yearly return rates that are given to the customer barely reaches 0.10% for keeping their money in said account.

Another suggested that a waiver should be in place for transactions below RM50, as some less fortunate people would not be able to afford paying RM1 everytime they withdraw their money.
