PETALING JAYA, April 2025 – Malaysia’s Hari Raya travel period from March 29 to April 6 saw 15,246 road accidents, a 3.8% rise from 14,674 in 2024, Bukit Aman’s Traffic Department reported. Despite the increase, fatalities dropped 29.3%, with 123 deaths compared to 174 last year. March 29 recorded the highest accidents (2,040), while March 30 saw 20 deaths. Authorities urge safer driving as Hari Raya, celebrated on March 31, continues to strain roads.
