Malaysian comedian and content creator Ronas Raff has shared a hilarious exchange with a suspected scammer who claimed to be calling from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Instead of following the caller’s instructions, Ronas appeared to play along, turning the conversation into a humorous interrogation that quickly went off script.

In the exchange, the caller claimed Ronas’ phone number had been reported and asked for his details, including his supposed “MCMC level”. Ronas responded by questioning the caller and eventually agreed to meet at the MCMC lobby, prompting the scammer to ask him to keep the conversation brief and “click” certain options.
The post attracted thousands of reactions, with followers sharing their own experiences of receiving suspicious calls allegedly from MCMC or other authorities. Such impersonation scams remain a concern in Malaysia, with MCMC previously warning the public about callers falsely claiming to be its officers and alleging that victims’ numbers had been involved in criminal activities.
Instead of panicking, Ronas Raff turned the alleged MCMC scam call into a hilarious exchange.
