PETALING JAYA: The Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered TikTok user Ku Hilmie Ku Din, 35, to pay Rosmah Mansor RM100,000 in general and aggravated damages for defaming her. Justice Ahmad Shahrir Salleh ruled in Rosmah’s favour after Ku Hilmie failed to respond to her lawsuit. Rosmah, wife of former prime minister Najib Razak, sued him for RM1 million over a video claiming she practised black magic and used bomohs. The court rejected her claim for exemplary damages, citing lack of evidence. Rosmah said the defamatory statements harmed her reputation, leading to public ridicule and tarnishing her status as a public figure.
