The Selangor Commercial Crime Investigation Department said it had broken up online scam syndicates, arresting 58 people in raids from Oct 20 to 26.
Those held, aged between 20 and 50, comprise eight local men and 50 foreigners, 45 men and five women, most of them from East Asia, Bernama reported. Checks with the Immigration Department are under way, and early findings show all of them entered the country through legal entry points.
