SEREMBAN, Nov 4: SHARP Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and ALPRO Pharmacy have launched MIRAI Living, a strategic collaboration aimed at raising health awareness and encouraging healthier lifestyles among Malaysians.
The initiative, whose name means “future” in Japanese, is designed to combine SHARP’s technology capabilities with ALPRO Pharmacy’s healthcare expertise to help communities make better-informed health and wellness choices.
The partnership comes amid growing concerns over diabetes in Malaysia. The National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2025 found that 39.1% of Malaysians aged 60 and above were living with diabetes, while NHMS 2023 reported that approximately 15.6% of Malaysian adults were affected by the disease.
Under MIRAI Living, health education, technology and practical wellness solutions will be brought together to encourage healthier habits across homes, workplaces, schools and communities.
SHARP’s air-care and food-preparation technologies will complement ALPRO Pharmacy’s healthcare services, including guidance from pharmacists, nutritionists and dietitians.
The collaboration will also explore workplace wellness initiatives, health-awareness programmes, educational sessions, office pantry solutions and corporate gifting. Consumer-focused activities may include selected SHARP products alongside ALPRO’s health and wellness offerings.
