X users state that the RM5,000 salary is slightly above minimum wage in our neighboring country. However, the salary is considered as good if accommodation and food are provided as most of the costs will be saved from there.
Others complain saying that the salary is still low for Singapore. However, if room and board are not included, the expense for an individual living there would be significantly higher.
