A tragic accident in Besut, Terengganu, claimed the life of 16‑year‑old Muhammad Azmil Hakimi Abdullah when the car he was driving collided head‑on with a 4WD at Jalan Bukit Payong on May 28.
Police Probe Besut Crash Under Road Transport Act
Police said the victim was in his lane when the 4WD, driven erratically, veered into his path. The suspect tested positive for ketamine during an initial urine screening and is now detained under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, while the crash itself is investigated under the Road Transport Act 1987. Authorities urge motorists to drive responsibly and strictly follow traffic regulations.
