1 min read

A 61-year-old Serbian man narrowly escaped being pulled from a Ryanair aircraft after a window reportedly shattered during a flight from Thessaloniki, Greece, to Memmingen, Germany on July 10. The passenger was partially sucked out of the aircraft and was hanging outside up to his shoulders, according to reports from fellow travellers.

His wife and several passengers held onto his legs and eventually pulled him back inside the cabin. Flight tracking data showed the aircraft descended sharply by around 2,700 metres shortly after take-off. The man suffered friction burns and remains hospitalised but conscious.
