Tesla is recalling nearly 6,200 Cybertrucks after discovering that the wrong adhesive was used to secure the off-road light bar, which could detach while driving and pose a road hazard. The issue affects the “Cyberbeast” variant and follows multiple recalls since the truck’s 2023 launch.

Tesla’s service manual states customers must complete the light bar installation themselves, as staff are not permitted to handle the electronics. No injuries have been reported, and Tesla will replace faulty units at no cost. Despite Elon Musk’s ambitious production goals, Cybertruck sales have slumped, with a 62.6% drop in Q3 compared to last year.
