PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued thunderstorm warnings valid until 7pm today, affecting several states. Impacted areas include Kelantan (Kuala Krai), Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu), Pahang (Jerantut and Maran), the entire Selangor including Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, and Negeri Sembilan (Seremban and Port Dickson).
Thunderstorm Warnings
In Sarawak, warnings cover Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, and Limbang. Sabah’s affected regions include West Coast districts like Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, Ranau, Kota Belud; Sandakan areas (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, Sandakan); and Kudat. Residents are advised to stay cautious amid potential heavy rain and strong winds.
