How much does TikTok pay you now in reality?

Established in 2020, the TikTok creators fund was made to reward users who have an established following for using the app but to get paid you may need around 100,000 authentic followers – not bought bots. The fund does not seem to be a lucrative as it’s presented to be, with top TikToker Preston Seo, who now has 2.5 million followers telling Business Insider that between January and May 2021, the fund paid him a total of about $1,664.

Chrissy wake up! I don’t like this! Chrissy wake up and join the live. I think the Chrissy wake up song has to be the most annoying song on the internet. #chrissywakeup #strangerthings4

TikTok Pay Checks

Other prominent TikTokers like Hank Green disclosed that they received only $0.02 to $0.03 for every thousand views on the platform. This payment scheme has left many content creators disheartened, with some expressing their disappointment to Business Insider, revealing earnings as low as a few cents to $17 in their initial two monthly payments from Pulse.

$34,000 from TikTok Live

TikTok also offers creators the opportunity to receive virtual gifts during livestreams, which can be exchanged for cash. For instance, Australian ‘sleepfluencer’ Jakey Boehm, who streams on TikTok while attempting to sleep as fans try to keep him awake, reportedly amassed $34,000 from TikTok Live in just one month.
