KUALA LUMPUR – The High Court today heard that the father of the Ulu Tiram police station attacker once claimed that “the blood of police, government institutions and soldiers is permissible to kill.”
Prosecution witness Muhamad Farhan Haiqim Mohd Isa, 24, testified that the first accused, Radin Imran Radin Mohd Yassin, 64, made the statement while both were in remand at Seri Alam District Police Headquarters. Farhan said Radin Imran wept, saying his son’s soul had been carried to heaven by a green bird, and lamented not being invited to join the attack.

He added that Radin Imran expressed intent to kill his own brother for refusing to follow his teachings. Farhan recounted being present during the May 17, 2024 attack, when two constables were killed and one corporal injured before the assailant, Radin Luqman, was shot dead.
Charges against Radin Imran include promoting Islamic State ideology to his family, possessing firearms, and extremist literature. His son Radin Romyullah and other family members face related charges of supporting terrorism or withholding information. The trial, before Judge Nurulhuda Nur’aini Mohamad Nor, continues tomorrow.
