Southeast Asians are particularly upset with a tourist who allegedly disrespected a Thai worker who apparently asked her to take her shoes off before entering what appears to be a cafe. Some establishments in this region may ask their customers to do so, including Malaysia.

There are claims that the woman is apparently from a Middle Eastern country that is unpopular in the region. Furthermore, social media users are attacking the woman’s alleged country of origin claiming that their behavior is “narcissistic.”
Others state that lower income westerners in general should be banned in Southeast Asia as they sometimes pretend to act rich, allegedly. However, the woman in question is from a Middle Eastern country and is not related to the western tourists.
