Iran has militarized the Strait since March, restricting passage and driving global oil and gas prices higher. More than 20,000 sailors remain trapped, with at least 10 killed. Trump said the naval blockade of Iranian ports will remain, while officials stressed the U.S. has shifted to a defensive posture amid fragile negotiations.
