KUALA LUMPUR: UMNO Secretary-General Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki says the party’s grassroots strength is on the rise, as shown by 20,710 branch meetings held between April 6 and May 25—an increase from 20,005 previously. These meetings focused on preparing for upcoming elections and reinforcing UMNO’s founding objectives. Asyraf noted unusually high attendance, signalling a “positive wave of resurgence” among members. He said the commitment shown reflects growing motivation and confidence in UMNO’s future. Asyraf, who is also MARA chairman, shared his views during BH’s “Borak Harini” podcast and visited Media Prima’s broadcasting operations.
