Umno Youth will table a motion at the next Umno Supreme Council meeting to exclude the T20 income group from fuel subsidies, shifting towards targeted aid. Its chief, Dr Akmal Saleh, said savings could be redirected to B40 and M40 households, who rely more on subsidies.

He argued the wealthy can absorb higher fuel costs, while RM200–RM400 monthly savings mean much more to lower-income groups. Akmal also revealed 25 resolutions will be presented, including reviving the goods and services tax (GST) at 3% initially. He spoke after Umno Youth’s economic roundtable at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.
