US Consumers Could Now PAY MORE for Electronics as Tariffs Hit Malaysia by 24%

Our country has been producing semiconductors to export all over the world, which is speculated to be a 1.2 trillion industry by 2030. However, in Donald Trump’s tariff retaliation, Malaysia’s goods will be hit with a 24% retaliatory tariff. Some expect electronic goods to rise significantly in the United States.   

US consumers could pay more for electronics as tariffs hit Malaysia 

Malaysian X users are discussing the possible implications of this situation. But, it seems users feel that we will gain a significant advantage towards this situation. Another user claims that the tech stocks in our country are currently in the green zone. 

Despite this, it is unclear if semiconductors are included in the tariffs as some argue that they’re excluded from it. In February there were discussions that they too may be hit with these extra charges.
