Apple announced its payment system, Apple pay all the way back in 2014. After 8 years of service, it will finally be introduced as a payment option in Malaysia. So far it is just shop talk all over Twitter.
However, it was mentioned in the news that AmBank wrongly placed an Apple pay advertisement online and it had since been pulled down. Netizens mentioned that Samsung pay has been around for 4 years. Apple is definitely late to the game in Malaysia.
Apple pay will be beneficial as we would not need to bring around our credit cards or debit cards. All we need is our iPhone or Apple watch to pay for our purchases in the near future, whether or not if it’s already late.
