New: Pearly-Thinaah Battle Past Taiwan Pair to Reach BAC Quarterfinals

NINGBO – Malaysia’s women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah advanced to the quarterfinals of the Badminton Asia Championships 2026 after a thrilling three-set victory over Taiwan’s Hsu Yin Hui-Lin Jhih Yun. Playing at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre, the world No.2 duo won 21-19, 19-21, 24-22 in a tense encounter.

Pearly-Thinaah

Pearly-Thinaah recovered from a first-set deficit before sealing the opener, but the Taiwanese pair fought back to level the match. In a dramatic decider, the Malaysians held their nerve during deuce to secure the win. They will next face either Japan’s Rui Hirokami-Sayaka Hobara or China’s Li Yi Jing-Luo Xu Min.
