Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Shakila Mohd Shariff opposed bail, citing the severity of the victim’s injuries and Ang’s alleged attempt to flee. Defense counsel Lee Keng Fatt argued for bail, noting Ang’s lack of fixed income, unmarried status, and family support.

Judge Datin Surita Budin granted bail of RM15,000 with one surety. The case is scheduled for mention on Sept 25 for document submission.
