PETALING JAYA, Aug 25, 2026 – Hong Kong actor Mat Yeung’s newly opened restaurant, Six Hub Roast House, was ordered to close temporarily just 10 days after its grand launch.
The outlet, which opened on Aug 14, announced via Facebook on Aug 24 that it would shut for two days in compliance with local authorities and reopen on Aug 26. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by our kitchen occupying a public space,” the post read.

Videos circulating online showed the restaurant’s shutters down with yellow tape pasted across them. According to Oriental Daily, enforcement officers closed the premises around 1pm after complaints that several eateries were using back alleys for cooking and washing.
A representative clarified to Sinchew Daily that the closure was due to equipment placement outside the premises, not food hygiene issues. The restaurant pledged to rectify matters before resuming operations.
