Police have arrested a Bangladeshi petrol station worker to assist investigations into the alleged misuse of BUDI Madani RON95 fuel subsidy quotas in Kupang, Baling. Baling police chief Superintendent Brandon Richard Joe said the arrest followed a report lodged by a 57-year-old businessman from Selangor who discovered his subsidy quota had been used by another party.
Bangladeshi Petrol Station Cashier Remanded in BUDI95 Fraud Investigation
Checks on the BUDI95 application revealed six fuel transactions using the victim’s identity card number at a petrol station in Padang Lengkuas between March 18 and April 8. The transactions involved 309.038 litres of subsidised petrol worth RM1,242.33. Police are also tracking down a local suspect.
