KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24, 2026 – Federal Territories PAS will set up 11 task forces comprising professionals, technocrats, and activists to draft policies in preparation for the 16th general election (GE16). Green wave coming to KL.
Commissioner Azhar Yahya said the initiative reflects the party’s readiness to govern Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, as well as oversee the federal territories ministry. He noted that while PAS is often seen as dominated by religious scholars, it also has many professionals capable of contributing to urban development.
Green Wave coming
“These task forces show our commitment to a structured, realistic, and people-oriented agenda,” Azhar said at the state chapter’s convention.
The chapter also tabled 12 resolutions addressing affordable housing, public transport, and living costs. PAS will unveil its GE16 manifesto based on research by its professionals.
