Internal rifts are also evident in Perikatan Nasional (PN), with PAS Youth proposing Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man as prime minister, despite Bersatu backing Muhyiddin.
Marzuki recalled how Muhyiddin once put unity above ambition by nominating Mahathir as PM before GE14. After negotiations, Mahathir became PM7 and Wan Azizah deputy PM, leading Pakatan Harapan to victory.
