PETALING JAYA, June 6 – A Bersatu Supreme Council member has accused PAS of negotiating with Umno to revive the Muafakat Nasional (MN) alliance without consulting Perikatan Nasional (PN). The leader alleged PAS proposed “MN 2.0” involving Umno and figures aligned with former Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang confirmed a meeting with Umno leaders in Kuala Lumpur but downplayed it as routine. PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man earlier urged cooperation in Johor’s upcoming polls. Analysts note the move comes amid PAS’s review of ties with Bersatu, citing disputes over state matters and party admissions.
