KUALA LUMPUR: PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has rebuked DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke’s claim that PAS seeks to dominate political coalitions. In a statement, the Pasir Mas MP urged Loke to “look in the mirror,” citing DAP’s past decision to sever ties with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang while continuing to engage with the party during the Pakatan Rakyat era.

Fadhli also contrasted PAS’ current internal discussions with Bersatu over Perikatan Nasional’s prime ministerial candidate with DAP’s relationship with Umno. He noted that unlike PAS, which keeps disagreements within party channels, DAP mobilised members to lodge police reports against the Umno Youth chief recently. Fadhli argued that DAP and Umno’s cooperation in by-elections shows they function as a coalition.
