Failed attempt of drone to deliver drugs to Tapah prison

Authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle dangerous substances into Tapah Prison using a drone. The incident was discovered by a prison staff member who spotted the drone on a prison block roof. Upon further inspection, police found a laundry bag attached to the white drone, containing three clear plastic packets suspected to be heroin and methamphetamine, weighing 122 grams and 12.9 grams respectively.

Perak Police Chief, Datuk Azizi Mat Aris, confirmed this as the first case involving a drone used to smuggle drugs from abroad into a Malaysian prison. The incident occurred around 5 PM yesterday.
