End of Bersama Before Any Wins, “Pig Farm” Controversy Sparking Massive Debate

1 min read

The newly formed Bersama party has already stumbled into its first social media controversy. Member Boo Wei Han sparked backlash after asking whether anyone would “die” living near a pig farm.

Netizens swiftly responded, mocking his remark and suggesting that Boo himself should try residing next to one — turning the statement into a focal point of criticism against the party’s credibility.

The Premature End of Bersama?

Social media users note that some Bersama politicians were largely silent during their time in the previous administration, yet now appear unusually vocal. Their sudden shift to making loud, provocative statements before even securing electoral wins has left many netizens uneasy.

Some are comparing Bersama to Muda, claiming that it’s now Muda 2.0. Unfortunately, the previous third force beacon may not be the actual third force in lieu of such sensitive topics discussed so openly.

Summing up netizen sentiment, many argue that Bersama would be better served by candidates who demonstrate professionalism rather than relying on shock value.

The controversy surrounding Boo’s remarks has amplified calls for the party to project credibility and maturity, especially as it prepares to contest its first election.
