Floods Force Evacuation of 163 SPM Candidates in Kedah

Floods in Kedah have displaced over 2,100 people, with the disaster even disrupting ongoing SPM examinations. On 25 November, 163 students from SMK Jitra were evacuated mid-exam when rising waters flooded the school compound. 

Floods Force Evacuation of SPM Students 

The Royal Malaysia Police deployed trucks to transfer candidates to another school, while teachers and parents used their own vehicles to assist. Despite the sudden disruption, all students safely continued their Bahasa Melayu Paper 2 exam at alternative venues. 

The Kedah State Education Department confirmed logistics and safety procedures were upheld, thanking schools, district offices, and security forces for ensuring examinations proceeded without compromising student rights.
