Form Two Student Injured After Alleged Kerambit Attack by Classmate in Shah Alam

A Form Two student was injured after allegedly being stabbed with a kerambit by a female classmate at a school in Shah Alam on Aug 5. Police said the 14-year-old male student suffered a minor injury to his arm in the incident, which occurred at about 11.42am. Both students were classmates.

Shah Alam School Kerambit Incident Leaves Form Two Student Injured

Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sarudin Samah said the suspect was arrested but later released on police bail after being reported to be unwell. The weapon allegedly used was a 10-centimetre kerambit. Police said no motive had been established and investigations were still ongoing. 

The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which concerns voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous weapons or means. The incident surfaced after a post on Threads went viral alleging a stabbing at a secondary school in the Shah Alam area. The case has renewed attention on school safety, student conflict and the need for early intervention when tensions escalate among young people.
