The government will expand diesel subsidy eligibility under the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) to include jeeps and pickup trucks nationwide from June 1. Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Armizan Mohd Ali said the Cabinet approved the move on May 20, extending benefits previously limited to Cameron Highlands.

Individual operators must transfer vehicle ownership to companies and register with relevant authorities. Revised fixed quota limits will also take effect, ranging from 900 to 5,000 litres monthly across 23 vehicle categories. Armizan stressed the changes aim to curb subsidy leakage and strengthen enforcement of fleet card usage.
